RYA Coastal Skipper Course Sail
During the RYA Coastal Skipper Course you will take part in an overnight passage it’s ideal for competent Day Skippers who want to move on to more extended cruising in unfamiliar waters, in more challenging sailing conditions, and for longer periods of time, in order to become an RYA Coastal Skipper.
What to expect on Coastal Skipper Course
During the RYA Coastal Skipper Course you will be guided through navigation, both offshore and in limited visibility, weather forecasting and passage planning, watch keeping, preparation for sea and handling heavy weather. The RYA Coastal Skipper course will put this all into practice as each student plans and executes passages taking complete command of the yacht. The RYA Coastal skipper must be good boat handlers and you will receive plenty of practice mooring the yacht and have at least 4 hours night sailing. Weather permitting the yacht will undertake a longer coastal passage.
RYA Coastal Skipper duration
The Coastal Skipper course lasts 5 days. Included in the price of the Coastal Skipper course is all food eaten onboard, all boats costs and use of waterproofs. On sucessful completion of the RYA Coastal Skipper course you will be awarded the RYA Coastal Skipper Course Completion Certificate and will be able to skipper coastal passages safely and confidently.
