RYA Yachtmaster Course & Exam
The RYA Yachtmaster Course is a prepaaraion course for the RYA Yachtmaster Exam. Candidates for the yachtmaster exam will be examined skippering offshore passages by day or night. The RYA Yachtmaster course is for the more experienced Coastal Skipper and can do the same things more smoothly, for longer periods and in more challenging conditions. At the start of the RYA Yachtmaster Course the instructor will assess candidates ability and instruct in the areas required to pass the RYA yachtmaster examination. During the RYA Yachtmaster Course the instructor will breif you and give candidates time to practise. Candidates for the RYA Yachtmaster exam should have a knowlege of navigation theory to RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster level and a thorough knowledge of the Collision Regulations.
Yachtmaster exam
During the RYA yachtmaster exam each candidate will be required to skipper the yacht on short passages and various exercises showing their skippering and sailing ability over the course of the weekend. The RYA Yachtmaster Course is a preparation course for the RYA Yachamaster Exam for Yachtmaster Offshore. Candidates for the RYA Yachtmaster exam stay onboard the yacht practising and revising all aspects of the syllabus.
